shinier side of the coin;

Last Friday, I headed south to Singapore for the third time this year.

I thought that, it being the third time - I could breeze through my plans like the previous two trips. Chill at the hotel, have a short photo shoot, meet Glenda and (window)shop, get popcorn, this time also attending a wedding lunch, and return home.

Waking up at 5:30AM to check in wasn't as bad as I thought.
Lookit our early morning faces. Obviously you can tell who the morning person is.

Breakfast helped in kick-starting the day!

Sadly, timing couldn't be worse. I was lethargic when we touched down on Friday.

My Friday lunchner. I couldn't even finish it :(

I thought the lethargy would wear off on Saturday - so I could spend time properly with Glenda - but it turned out to be worse.

Not only was it that time of the month, the bus trip out to the mall made me extremely nauseous - and after walking around the mall (more like sitting around the mall) for less than an hour - I returned to the hotel to vomit pink Yakult.

Yeah, gross I know.
Not as depressing as gross though.

Extremely thankful to Victor for putting up with me being under the weather, and equally as grateful to Glenda for visiting me at the hotel! You guys are so awesome ;_; ♥

I don't know how many people I'd stay in a room with on a Saturday afternoon, watching them lie in bed looking pale and sickly.

Thank God for the hotel channels, we watched bits of the 48-hour CSI marathon, bits of Immortal Song 2 and then talked the afternoon away.

This was my comfort food.

Yes, cabonara spaghetti with an egg. Victor bought pasta from a restaurant downstairs and it was delicious. Made me feel less sickly even.

Saturday night was spent in bed, with pasta and hotel channels.

Feeling better on Sunday morning, we looked around the hotel a bit more.

& because I packed my darling Snoopy-towel-with-ears, I had to take a photo with them!

Then there was lunch!

The weekend went by faster than I thought it would, it seemed like I had barely done anything there but be sick.

I was thinking at one point that it was one of the most horrible trips I had ever gone for, because of the bad timing and cramps - but I realized then, this trip just showed me that I had more people caring for me in way I could have never imagined.

I thought when I grew up, I had to take care of myself.

It feels really nice to know that despite age, there are still people who care for me like a parent would their children.

It's more awesome when these people aren't related to me by blood, and some that I've only met less than 5 times! When I was dizzy at the bus terminal and Glenda passed me Panadols, a lady saw and gave me advice, and asked me to take care before she boarded the bus.

Whoever said that humanity is lost have yet to meet some really awesome people.
