MBLAQ In 100% Awesomeness;

It's 1:22AM on the 10th of January 2012 as I first write this post.

There are many reasons to my late-sleeping habits, but tonight I sleep late only to spaz over the wonderful that is MBLAQ's It's War music video.

Before I continue, you should know that this post contains: fangirling and spoilers.
No warning for capslocked paragraphs - I've already done that on Twitter ._.

Despite there being some parts that make me laugh and wonder "WHY MBLAQ WHY" - I do love the music video a lot. Being an A+, I am of course, bias - but there were so many other awesome stuff to love!

Let me begin:

1. DRAMA/PLOT

Honestly, music videos without drama or a certain storyline work as well - just that MBLAQ's last two music videos (BabyU and White Christmas) were montages of videos of their performances, tours, events, etc.

To finally see something that has a story to follow along is certainly satisfying!

Despite some scenes that don't quite make sense (or just generally crack me up *coughThunder'sshockedfacecough*) - the story does depict the lyrics well - and I don't think I would enjoy the song as much if I didn't watch the music video beforehand.

2. GUNS
I love MBLAQ with guns. Ever since their Idol Army 007-photos, I've always wanted to see them with guns. Such a bonus!

Sniper rifle is a double bonus!

Then of course with guns comes shootings and bullets.

Although in this case, Joon does an Angelina Jolie and has the bullet swerving instead!

Swerve and suicide.

Oh and let's not forget the blood-font!

Was crossing my fingers hoping they would not ban the video for "blood and violence".

3. DANCE
The dance. It's so powerful, so perfect - I'm not even being biased here!

It's not just a synchronized everybody-do-the-same-thang dance, but there are many times where everyone does something different - but looks awesome together.

Favourite part is the part where the five of them fan out to the side and close back into a group; followed by Joon's dramatic shot-and-revive moment!

4. COSTUMES

BLACK. SHINY. BELTS.

I initially couldn't tell how many sets of costumes they had because everything was black and shiny. MBLAQ wears blacks LIKE BOSSES.

5. SET
LOOK AT THAT SET. TELL ME IT'S NOT AWESOME then I kill you. Not only does the angry-ballad have lovely string accompaniment - they actually brought the entire orchestra onto the set!

Just some shots of the instruments make the song feel more complete.

& just because I screencapped - if you aren't an A+ and have no idea who's who in MBLAQ:

Seung Ho is the multi-talented leader with the blonde-gar-short hair!

G.O is the amazing vocalist with the blonde-brown hair. I would say his eyebrows are furrowed almost every second of his close up shots - but almost everyone does in this music video.

Joon the redhead - who is also the gunner/shooter/lead actor/sexy arms.

Thunder - or CheonDoong, or ChunDoong, or CheonDung, or ChunDung - I'll just stick to Thunder is the boy with the small face - who is also acting as Joon's friend in the story.

Mir is the gar maknae (youngest - he doesn't look it much with each comeback!) with the blonde and black hair, rapping away like a boss!

Am absolutely in love with their mini album - 100% Ver. Was especially happy when I found out that One Way's Chance would be involved in their album's production! If you haven't already - do head over to their Youtube channel and have a listen!

To keep everything in a nutshell; all five songs in the album are pretty diverse - from an angry (bothering scary) Run to 전쟁이야 as the amazing title track. I love the fact that they had an orchestra included in the song - it helped define the highs and lows - the calm and the rage that the lyrics had to express. I've never been more impressed with an angry song!

Speaking of lyrics - I've never been more happy with the lyrics from any other album! 낙서 was released before the music video - and was immediately in my list of R&B songs to loop. Just reading the lyrics made me feel sad. The pain of not being to let go of a loved one is vividly expressed through the words and song.

아찔한그녀 is my favourite song from MBLAQ next to 알면서그래 from their Mona Lisa album. I love how the song depicts miscommunication between a couple, reminds me of 알면서그래 very much. What I really, really love about this song - is G.O's parts.

Hello My Ex is the song with the most misheard lyrics - and is the only other happy song in this album. It isn't the most original of the lot - but has an addictive melody.

Listening to the album from top to bottom is like a roller-coaster ride - from the aggressive songs to the joyful ones. I've never been more happy with any of their albums before this, and as an A+ - I think it's a huge improvement!

A comeback cannot be judged by the music video and album alone - hence, comeback stages!

낙서 (Scribble)

The only thing I didn't enjoy about the performance was the fact that they were all sitting. I kept imagining that they would have a short dance at the end, or even just stand up. But I loved their expressions - Mir did a great job!

전쟁이야 (This Is War)

I love the intro with the rifle. I love their outfits from the music video. I love how awesome the dance is on stage. I the sniper-view. I love how powerful the entire performance is!

These dorks then transform into SuperChicDols and rule the stage!

낙서 (Scribble)

Y U NO LET THUNDER HAVE MORE SCREENTIME?! :(

전쟁이야 (This Is War)

Black tights. That is all.

120114 Music Core;
낙서 (Scribble)

STANDING UP. Yes, definitely much better than sitting down! Although, Thunder's parts :'(

전쟁이야 (This Is War)

Just when I thought the tight black pants from M!Countdown were the best - they don tight black turtlenecks and badass tight jeans.

MBLAQ wears black so well - I shall refrain from making puns.

낙서 (Scribble)

Yay full song with Thunder's part! Mir's rap for this song looks better and better with every performance! The snow got pretty distracting though ._.

전쟁이야 (This Is War)

Still not getting over how powerful their stage is!

& that is all for their comeback - FOR NOW.
A+ are scrambling to vote for them, buying their albums and all - I honestly think it's time MBLAQ won!
